Aishwarya Rai signs up for Robot opposite Rajinikant and become highest paid south indian actress

Aishwarya Rai, has finally signed for “Robot” opposite superstar Rajinikant.Gorgeous and sexy Aishwarya Rai will be pairing Rajinikant for the first time in shankar’s much talked about tamil movie Robot.
The report of Aishwarya having signed to act in the movie “Robot”, puts an end to all speculations on whether Aishwarya Rai will act in the movie or not.Aishwarya Rai, has also reportedly received some handsome money, as advance, to act in “Robot”.
The buzz is, Aishwarya Rai will be getting Rs 6 crore for “Robot”, a big budget mega film by shankar.Robot is produced by Ayngaran International in association with Eros Entertainment.It is said that Rs 6 crore, to be received by Aishwarya Rai is a record in south indian film history and is much higher than that received by any leading south Indian actress, so far.
In fact, the sum of Rs 6 crore is said to be the highest money ever paid to an Indian actress for a film (officially).
Both Aishwarya Rai and shankar are very happy over the deal.Shankar has been promised of priority dates when he starts the shoot of Robot, some time in May/June 2008.Infact Aishwarya Rai’s dates will be available over a period of 18 months on mutually agreed days.
Aishwarya Rai will also be acting in a Mani Ratnam movie pairing Abhishek Bachchan.This movie is likely to commence in September/October 2008 and most of the indoor scenes for this movie will be shot in chennai.
It is being said that there will not be any issues with Aishwarya Rai’s dates for the two movies as Mani Rathnam, Shankar and Rajinikant are good pals.
